Cercando in rete ho trovato qualche foto sull'istituto:

e una testimonianza di dicembre 2006 che provo a tradurre.

"Tuyen Quang si trova circa a 100 km a nord-ovest di Hanoi.
Abbastanza vicino al confine del Laos e Cina.
Ci abbiamo messo circa 3-4 ore attraverso alcune parti molto remote del Paese. Un sacco di bella campagna circondata da montagne.
Tutto ad un tratto la strada asfaltata è terminata e abbiamo proseguito lungo una lunga strada sterrata tra gli alberi.
C'eravamo.
La nostra prima tappa è stata presso l'ufficio della direzione per un breve incontro con il direttore. Con l'aiuto di un traduttore ci ha dato un caloroso benvenuto e ci ha descritto un po' l'istituto e i bambini che vi risiedono. Poi ci ha detto che era il momento per noi di spostarci nell'area dove stavano i bambini.
Abbiamo camminato un po' siamo arrivati al cancello della Tuyen Quang Social Welfare Center.
L'istituto consiste in 3 edifici disposti a ferro di cavallo con l'ingresso principale ad un'estremità.
Nel mezzo di tutti gli edifici erano panchine e alberi con un piccolo giardino.
Quello che ho visto sembrava un abbastanza nuovo e aveva molte finestre aperte.
Era giallo con persiane verdi pallido, piuttosto carino.
All'interno alla nostra sinistra una culla con 5 o 6 neonati tutti in fila che stavano dormendo infagottati con cuffie e coperte.
Sul fondo, appoggiate alla parete, una lunga piattaforma di legno, coperta da stuoie di rattan e coperte, dove stavano gli altri bambini.
Il direttore ci ha raccontato che attualmente a  Tuyen Quang vivono 29 bambini.
Tutti i bambini sembravano puliti, ben nutriti, e tranquilli.
Tra di loro si dividevano costantemente le bambinaie.
Si prendevano in braccio chi cominciava a piangere, davano da mangiare a chi aveva fame, si sedevano vicino a chi aveva bisogno di coccole.
Il mio cuore soffriva per questi bambini, ma sentivo il calore che gli trasmettevano per quanto possibile le didi.
Questi angeli nelle loro uniformi blu, lavoravano instancabilmente per dare loro tutto l'amore possibile.
Stavano cercando di dare a ognuno di questi bambini il miglior inizio di vita possibile.
Dobbiamo ringraziare le persone di Tuyen Quang per  questo, e lo abbiamo fatto per ogni cosa che hanno fatto per i nostri figli. "

"Tuyen Quang is approx 100km North West of Hanoi.
Fairly close to the borders of Laos and China.
The ride was somewhere between 3-4hrs through some very remote parts of the country. Lots of lovely countryside surrounded by mountains.
All of a sudden the van turned off of the pavement, and we were on a long dirt road with nothing on either side but heavy trees. We had made it!
Our first stop was at the orphanage directors office for a brief meeting with him. While there he gave us a warm welcome and then told us (through a translator) a little about the orphanage and the children residing there. He then said that it was time for us to head down the road to the area where the children were.
We walked down the road and though the gates to the Tuyen Quang Social Welfare Center.
The orpnanage grounds had 3 buildings that we could see, that were in a horshoe shape with the main entrance at the other end.
In the middle of all the buildings were benches and trees with a small garden area.
What I saw was what looked like a fairly new building with lots of opened windows.
It was pale yellow with green shutters, and looked quite nice.
Inside to our left was a bassinet with 5 or 6 newborn babies all in a row sleeping bundled up in hats and blankets. Then on the far wall, was a long row with a sort of wooden platform covered with rattan mats and blankets. This was were the rest of the babies lay. All of them in a row.
The director said that there were 29 babies currently living at Tuyen Quang.
All of them looked clean, well fed, and calm.
Moving around them constantly were their nannies.
They took care to pick up whoever started crying, feed whoever was hungry, or sit in the corner singing to whoever needed comforting.
My heart did hurt for these babies, but it was filled with warmth as well. For these nannies, these angels in their blue uniforms, were working tirelessley to give everyone of them as much love as they could. They were giving these babies the best start in life that they possibly could and it showed in each one of them.
We have the people of Tuyen Quang to thank for that, and we did thank them profusely for everything they had done for our children."
